Wall plastering can be either manual or mechanized. Manual methods are used for independent work; in a limited space, you also have to work without the use of mechanized means.

In the process of manual application, the composition is applied to the wall:
trowel;
ladle;
trowel;
any homemade tool.

The mechanized method involves the use of mechanization, such as a hopper bucket with a compressor, or the use of special plastering machines. With the help of special equipment, the process of wall finishing can be accelerated several times; for large volumes, the rule works — the more productive the equipment, the faster and cheaper the work.

In the end, mechanized plastering is cheaper, but this needs to be done on a case-by-case basis, using machines to apply mortar in one room will not be profitable, but using a hopper bucket with a compressor can simplify the process for beginners. Mechanical application of mixtures using plastering stations limits the layer thickness to 20 mm. No one will risk their reputation and violate the application technology if a 60 mm layer is needed. This thickness will be obtained in three stages — each 20 mm.

By hand, you can try to apply a plaster layer up to 60 mm thick, but you should not do this without reinforcement, especially in residential premises and for beginners. Decorative plaster is applied only by hand, using a variety of tools and methods to form a specific surface. The cheapest and most popular decorative plasters are bark beetle and fur coat.
